The President will do the following:
Per Article III of the WSASEA By-Laws, the duties of the President are: "The President shall preside at all meetings of the Association & the Executive Board; appoint all committees as specified in the By-Laws; be an ex-officio member of all committees; submit an annual report to the Association; & perform such other duties as pertain to the office of President."

Assume the office of President on July 1.
Arrange an August meeting of incoming and outgoing Executive Board members. Purpose is to set goals and objectives for the year, transfer information and offer incoming officers a chance to meet with the outgoing officer in their position to review duties, yearly calendar, etc.

Hold first meeting of the new Executive Board. At the first meeting, officers should discuss their agenda/goals for the year, and decide where/how often to meet throughout the year to meet the stated objectives. At meeting, decide upon date/location/agenda of Fall Town Meeting(s).

Ensure Treasurer begins yearly membership drive (generally as part of Town Meeting registration).
Provide Presidential message to Vice-President for newsletter and ensure it is transmitted to Webmaster for posting on website. Newsletter will include time, place and agenda of Town Meeting and report of August meeting.
Send notice and agenda to members & potential members inviting them to Town Meeting.

Preside at Town Meeting. Ensure that the Treasurer is preparing IRS Form 990-N for submission to the federal Internal Revenue Service by no later than Nov. 15th.

Ensure Treasurer has submitted IRS Form 990-N by the Nov. 15th deadline.

Ensure Vice President is arranging January Spring Conference planning meeting (if not holding the conference at Rainbow Lodge, also ensure Vice President has decided on dates and location of Spring Conference).
Contact Governor's Office regarding signing Student Employment Month Proclamation.
Ensure the Past-President starts planning for Student Employee of the Year.

Attend Spring Conference planning meeting. Participate in conference planning and duties.

Distribute Student Employment Month Proclamation.

Preside at Spring Conference (normally held in April or May), and present annual report to the Association. Prepare congratulatory letter for SEOTY winner and runners-up. Give gavel to new incoming President.

Ensure that all necessary information is submitted to Webmaster for archiving on the web. Ensure President-Elect archives any physical materials from the current year. Receive election results from Past-President and send welcoming message to new board members and announcement to membership.

Audit Treasurer's Report.

At the beginning of new WSASEA membership year assume position of Past-President.
